what is platyhelminthes?

 Platyhelminthes are a group of invertebrates that are also called flatworms because their bodies are dorsoventrally flattened. Therefore, they appear leaf-like or ribbon-like creatures. They include Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke), Taenia solium (tapeworm), Schistosoma (blood fluke), Planaria etc.
