What is Plaster Of Paris?

Plaster is the common name for calcium sulphate hemi hydrate made by heating the mineral gypsum, the common name for sulphate of lime. Gypsum plaster, or plaster of Paris, is produced by heating gypsum to about 300°F (150 °C)
