Copper sulphate (CuSO4 ) is neither an acid nor a base-but it is a salt(salts are produced when an acid is neutralized by a base ). Copper sulphate contains 5 molecules of water of crystallization.
Most of the salts rare soluble in water with a few exceptions like calcium carbonate .
