| Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the current President of UAE. Nahyan became president on 3 November 2004, following the death of his father, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The President is the Head of State of the United Arab Emirates. Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the current ruler of Abu Dhabi customarily also holds the presidency of the UAE. The President is also Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Supreme Council and Supreme Petroleum Council. |
