In a farm cows' goats and hens are in the ratio 2:3:5 number of goats is 54. Find number of cow and hen.
In this case we know how may goats are there and we want to know how many cows and hens are there.

First to know the number of cows pick out the ratio that relates cow and goat. The ratio of cow to hen is 2 : 3. This means there are 2/3 the number of cows as goats. If there are 54 goats then there will be 36 cows. (2/3 * 54 = 36).

To know the number of hens pick the ratio between goat and hens. (5/3 * 54 = 90). There are 90 hens in the farm.

36 : 54 : 90 = 2 : 3 : 5
