Why electric wires are made of copper? |
| Electric wires are made from metals which have very low resistance to
the flow of current and also which have good ductility(meaning they can
be easily drawn into wires). Some examples are gold , silver,copper
etc... Of all of them, copper is relatively much abundant and is also cheap.Hence copper wires are used. |
