WHAT IS ACCOUNTANCY
According to Kohler, "Accountancy refers to the entire body of the theory and practice of accounting." It is the wider discipline greater than book-keeping and accounting. It requires both practical knowledge of the subject and using that knowledge in the practical maintenance of the books of accounts. It also tells us why and how to summarise accounting information and communicate it to concerned parties.
