A car starts from rest and accelerates uniformly at the rate of 1 m/s^2 for 5 seconds. It then maintains constant velocity for 30 seconds. Then breaks are applied and the car is uniformly retarded to rest in 10 seconds. Find the maximum velocity attained by the car. Also find the distance traveled by the car.

a=1m/s2
t=5s
v =5m/s
t=30s
d1=v1 x t 1=150m
v2 =0m/s
t2 =10s
d2 = v2 x t2 =5 x 10 =50m
Total distance traveled =200m
maximum velocity attained by the car=5m/s
