Two forces 40N and 60N are acting on a body of mass 5kg.If 40N is along positive x direction and 60N along y direction,find the resultant force and acceleration on the body?

resultant force = root [40^2 + 60^2]
  = 72.11 N 
      this force = mass * acceleration; mass = 5kg given.
acceleration     = force/mass
      = 72.11/5
      = 14.42 m/s^2.
