A rectangular block of mass 25kg is pulled forward by a man with a force of 50N.Find the acceleration on the block a.When it is pulled horizotally{Neglect friction} b.When the string tied to the block makes an angle 30 degree with the horizontal.

a. force = ma 
  given m = 25kg , force = 50 N
  acceleration, a = 50/25
      = 2m/s^2.
b. Here force has two components sine and cosine . The component of force pulling the block forward is cosine component.
so, Fcos30 = ma
     a = Fcos30/25
     = 50cos30/25
    = 50*sqrt(3) / (2*25)
    = 1.73 m/s^2.
