| NREGA stands for National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005. It is a job guarantee scheme for rural Indians. The scheme provides a legal guarantee for at least 100 days of paid employment in every financial year to adult members of any household willing to do unskilled manual work related to public work at the statutory minimum wage of Rs.120 per day. |
