what is electrostatic friction
Electrostatics involves the buildup of charge on the surface of objects due to contact with other surfaces. Rubbing two non-conductive objects generates a great amount of static electricity and this surface charge imbalance means that the objects will exhibit attractive or repulsive forces , that is, they show electrostatic phenomena.The frictional force which act in this case is termed as electrostatic friction.
