what are the advantages and disadvantages of solar cooker? Are there places where solar cookers would have limited utility ?
 Solar energy can be used to cook food using a solar cooker . A solar cooker contains light reflectors which reflect sunlight and focus to a small area. The container on which the food is to be cooked is placed in focus of the reflector. The heat from the sun accumulate at the focus to rise the temperature of the container to a very high value which eventually cooks the food.

It does not uses any fuel hence no pollution.

Disadvantages are :

During rainy day or during cloudy day it cannot be used because it works only using solar energy.

It takes so much time to cook the food.
