saloni took a piece of burning charcoal and collected the gas evolved in a test tube. how will she find the nature of the gas?

The test tube will filled with smoke .To find the nature of the gas ,pour lime water and shake the test tube .The lime water turns milky showing that carbondioxide is formed .
