Rana has two adjacent triangular fields. He grew wheat in a field with sides 25m, 52m and 63m. He divided the adjacent field with sides 25m, 101m, and 114m into two parts by joining the midpoint of the longest side to the opposite vertex. He grew rice in one part and vegetables in other. Find the area in which he grew wheat, rice and vegetables with the help of a figure. |
We can find the area of first triangle using formula . For the second triangle "Each median divides the area of the triangle in half". Hence find the area of second triangle using formula and hence area of the field in which rice and vegetables grew are equal. |
