Advantage:

The contributions made by the unorganised sector to the national income, is very substantial as compared to that of the organised sector. It adds more than 60% to the national income while the contribution of the organised sector is almost half of that depending on the industry.

Disadvantage:

In unorganised sector, jobs are low paid and are often not regular. There is no provision for overtime, paid leave, holidays, leave due to sickness etc. Employment is not secure.
