What is Harrappan civilization?

The Indus Valley Civilization was the first civilisation that emerged in India.It was a Bronze Age civilization which was centred mostly in the western part of the Indian Subcontinent and which flourished around the Indus River basin. It  is one of the world's earliest urban civilizations.The Indus Valley Civilization is also known as the Harappan Civilization, as the remainings of this civilisation were first to be unearthed from Harappa, in the 1920s.
