A globe is a miniature model of the Earth. The word globe comes from the Latin word 'globus' meaning round or sphere. It shows us the exact shape, size and location of continents and oceans, countries and cities. Globe also shows us how the Earth tilts and spins on its axis. It also shows the imaginary lines such as equator, longitudes and latitudes.
