What is laughing gas?Does it make us laugh?

Nitrous Oxide commonly known as laughing gas, is a chemical compound with the formula HNO2. It is an oxide of nitrogen. It is colourless, odourless and nonflammable at room temperature.
It is called laughing gas due to the euphoria it produces when people inhale it.
Laughing gas works as an anesthetic usually during dental treatment. It makes a patient feel light headed and less anxious as well as being an anesthetic.
