A stone is dropped from the top of a building 200m high at the same time another stone is vertically projected with velocity 500m/s.Find when and where the 2 stones meet?

Suppose the two stones meet after 'f' seconds when the stone from the top of the tower has covered a distance of h, then the distance of the meeting point from the ground is (200 - h) as shown in the figure.

Take the downward motion positive.

                         

For downward motion, g = +9.8 m/s2; vo = 0
