If a body moving with a velocity of 10m/s is given an acceleration of 2 m/s square A What will be its velocity after 6s? B what is the time taken by the body to come to rest if it is given an acceleration of -11 m/s square after 6 s?

A) u=10m/s
     a=2m/s^2
      t=6s
velocity,v =u+at
=10+(2*6)
=10+12
=22m/s
B) here, initial velocity=22m/s
final velocity =0
resultant acceleration is (-11+2) = -9m/s^2
time taken,t = (v-u)/a
  = -22/-9
  = 2.4s
that is, the body comes to rest after 8.4s from the start.
