Best known for his work on the Generalized Method of Moments, he is also a distinguished macro economist, focusing on the linkages between the financial and real sectors of the economy. In 2013, it was announced that he would be awarded the The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel - Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, jointly with Robert J. Shiller and Eugene Fama.
Robert James  is an American economist, academic, and best-selling author. He currently serves as a Sterling Professor of Economics at Yale University and is a fellow at the Yale School of Management's International Center for Finance. Shiller has been a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) since 1980, was Vice President of the American Economic Association in 2005, and President of the Eastern Economic Association for 2006-2007.
