Give a small description of cancer?
Cancer is an abnormal growth of cells. Normally, cells are created to replace those that die and to allow for growth. When cancer is present, cells reproduce at an unchecked rate. A tumor is a cluster of these cells that is capable of of dividing uncontrollably. Because these cells are not healthy and do not function properly, they cause problems in one's body. A tumor can be malignant or benign; malignant means it's cancerous, while benign means safe or non-cancerous. Benign tumors usually grow slowly and stay in one area, but malignant tumors spread rapidly and can destroy body tissue in the process .
