sec x = 2

1/cosx = 2

2 cos x = 1

cos x = 1/2

x =  cos -1(1/2)

x = ?/3  is the principle solution

and x = ?/3 ± 2n? or x = 2? - ?/3 ± 2n?   (where n = 0, 1, 2, 3, ...)is the general solution.
