What is Energy?What is the relation between force and Distance ?
Energy is defined as the ability or the capacity to do work.
Some of the many forms that energy are listed below 
Mechanical energy
Solar energy
Thermal energy
Electrical energy  etc.

The product of force and  the distance is called "work". 
The work depends on :
1. The force applied and 
2. The displacement of the object over which the force is applied 
    ie ,  Work = Force*distance
