what is the formulae relating slope, y-intercept ?

Y Intercept of a equation of a line is a point where the value of x is zero. A point at which the line crosses the y-axis is the Y Intercept of the line. The Y Intercept of a line is obtained by putting the value of x as zero in the equation of a line.

The Y Intercept Formula of a line Ax + By = C is, y = C/B.
The Y Intercept Formula of a line in the slope intercept form y = mx + c is, y = c,
Where m is the slope of the line,    c is the intercept of the line.
The Y Intercept Formula of a line in the point slope form y - b = m(x - a) is, y = -am + b.
