WHAT IS ORS?
 Dehydration can also be caused by vomiting. Even in cases of vomiting, the person or caretaker can pause for five to ten minutes, and then give ORS (oral rehydration solution) more slowly. Much of the fluid is still absorbed, and vomiting usually subsides after the first hour or two. ORSs contain the right mix of salt, sugar, potassium, and other minerals to help replace lost fluids.
