COLOURS HAVE DIFFERENT WAVELENGTH.ON WHAT BASIS?IS IT ONLY FOR VIBGYOR?IF SO HOW CAN WE REPRESENT IT GRAPHICALLY?IS IT HAVE CRUST AND TROUGH AS THAT AS LIKE SOUND WAVES? |
All colors can be represented as some combinations of VIBGYOR. All these colors have different wavelengths. Red has the highest wavelength whereas violet has lowest. Electromagnetic spectrum represents the elements of light in wavelength and frequency.Light is fundamentally different than sound though. It has no medium to travel through.Actually the very question you're asking is exactly what everyone wants to know.Sound needs a medium to propagate its energy through, some kind of matter.Light can propagate in a vacuum and as you probably know, it can behave like a particle or a wave.Energy propagates in crust and trough and also as a particle. |
