WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEXUAL AND ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION? |
Sexual refers to a type of reproduction that requires fusion of male and female gametes to form a zygote while asexual refers to a type of reproduction where organisms produce as a result of divisions so as to form a new organism. Off springs produced by asexual reproduction are genetically similar to each other contrary to those produced by sexual reproduction that has genetic variation hence different from parent cell. Asexual reproduction is a quick method of reproduction while sexual reproduction is time consuming. |
