A thin wire 20 cm long is formed into a rectangle. If the width of the rectangle is 4 cm. What its length? Let the length of the rectangle = a cm The width of the rectangle = 4 cm Perimeter = L + B + L + B = a + 4 + a + 4 = 2a + 8. i didn't understand ?

Perimeter of the rectangle = 20 cm
Perimeter of the rectangle = length + width + length + width
Here width = 4  cm
Hence 4 + 4 + length + length = 20
This is possible only when length = 6 cm
