What will happen if a magnet is dropped? Will the magnetic effect will go or not?
Dropping a magnet can destroy its magnetism because of the sudden shock to the magnet. The shock tends to make it align its field with the local ambient field. The vibration induced on the magnet causes the magnetic dipoles to randomize and demagnetize.
