what do you meant by deltaic soil?

Soil is formed out of sand, silt, and clay by natural weathering processes. When rivers, streams and floods wash sedimentary rock debris downhill, it builds up into alluvial soils, which are often very fertile. When rivers and streams meet an ocean or other large body of water they spread out to form river deltas. The eroded rock sediment carried in the running delta water is deposited as deltaic soils, which are also often fertile.
