IDENTIFY THE TYPE OF CHEMICAL REACTION AND WRITE THE CHEMICAL EQUATION FOR THE REACTION THAT TAKES PLACE WHEN A SOLUTION OF POTTASSIUM CHLORIDE IS MIXED WITH SILVER NITRATE SOLUTION. WRITE THE CHEMICAL NAME OF ONE OF THE PRODUCTS FORMED.

The chemical reaction between potassium chloride and silver nitrate can be  written as ,
       AgNO3   +            KCl               __________ >     AgCl         +             KNO3
(silver nitrate)    (potassium chloride )                       (silver chloride)   (potassium nitrate)
This is a double displacement reaction  where silver nitrate and potassium chloride exchange Cl- and NO3- ions between them .
