Silverchloride on exposure to sunlight for sometime becomes grey .This is due to the decomposition of  silverchloride into silver and chlorine by sunlight .
The equation for the reaction can be written as ,

2AgCl (s)  _________>   2Ag (s)    +  Cl2  (g)

A silver chloride electrode is a type of reference electrode commonly used in electrochemical measurement  .
