What are electrodes?

Current means Flow of Electrons.

Any solid material - Rod/Bar/ strip that conducts electricity is called as electrode.

 There are two kinds;

    Anode: Electrode where Oxidation takes place.
    Cathode : where Reduction takes place

And Oxidation means Removal of electrons and Reduction means acceptance of electrons in an electrochemical reaction.
