define sublimation
The process by which a solid directly changes to gas on heating or gas directly changes to solid on cooling is called sublimation.
             Example- when you put napthelene balls in your clothes and after sometime you will not see the napthelene balls because in your trunk the temp would be very high that napthelene balls will sublime.
