Auxiliary verbs are verbs used to indicate the tense, voice, mood, etc., of another verbs. They are also known as 'helping verbs'.The three most common auxiliary verbs are: be, do and have I am leaving = Leaving is the main verb. Am is the auxiliary. She has arrived = Arrived is the main verb. Has is the auxiliary. Do you smoke? = Smoke is the main verb. Do is the auxiliary. ___________________________________________________________________ Prepositions are word that indicates the relationship between a noun or pronoun and other words in a sentence. The relationships include direction, place, time, cause, manner and amount. Prepositions are abstract words that have no concrete meaning. They merely show the relationships between groups of words.
