what are the characteristics of the image formed in a plane mirror?
An echo is weaker than the original sound because it looses some of its energy after it bounces off several objects. The echo also disperses towards several directions which decreases its frequency and capacity to be heard. Furthermore, as the echo collides with objects, it also crashes with other noises which makes it weaker once it comes back to its starting point.
