WHAT ARE THE HABITS OF MODERN LIFE THAT ADVERSELY AFFECT THE HEALTH OF OUR SENSE ORGANS?

Sense Organs are the organs in our body which enables information from the outside world to be received through specific receptors that are connected to the brain by the nerves. They are eyes, ears tongue, skin and nose. Sense organs absorb energy from a physical stimulus from the environment and the sensory receptors present in the sense organs convert this energy into neural impulses and gets carried to the brain for processing. We should take care of them by keeping them clean, by keeping them from harm and by eating the right food. However, many habits of modern life adversely affect the health of our sense organs.

Eye

Eyes are the most delicate part of our body, as they are the window for us to the outer world. Smoking has been a common habit in the modern world. It causes biochemical changes in our bodies that accelerate aging by encouraging the destruction of collagen. Lazy eyes and cataract are caused due to heavy smoking. Smoking can cause the eyes to sting, water and blink more often. Television has a powerful influence in the lives of most children, computers have turned into an indispensable part of modern life. Normally, most people have to work and study with computers. Long-time focusing on computer screen and television releases the lubrication of lachrymal fluid, causing eye dryness.Eye fatigue and dry eyes are serious problems for millions of housewives who spend several hours in front of a TV everyday. Burning or tired eyes, double or blurred vision, eye twitching are also caused.

Ears

Ears are as important as eyes.Listening to music through headphones at too high a volume is a common habit among the teenagers of the modern life. This practice can seriously damage our hearing. Our ears are accustomed to sounds between 40 to 50 decibels. Listening to sounds between 80 to 90 decibels can cause permanent hearing loss. The hearing system can be injured not only by a loud blast or explosion but also by prolonged exposure to high noise levels.

Tongue

The tongue is a fairly tricky part of the body in that it works to trap unhealthy bacteria, thereby causing it to build up. Over time, this could cause a number of health issues, including the ever awkward halitosis, which is medical word for “bad breath.” To avoid this and other such problems, it’s important to incorporate proper tongue care into your regular dental routine.

Skin

Avoiding sun cream - the best way to preserve the leather patches and plication of the use of sunscreens. Too much alcohol in body makes your skin suffers. Alcohol increases the level of inflammatory processes in the body which can accelerate the loss of skin elasticity over time. Incorrect care products - the use of creams that do not correspond to our type of skin can be very big mistake. Sleep is a time when your body repairs the damage accumulated during the day, a disorder that slows the process of cell renewal. Also, can slow the flow of oxygen to the skin, causing your skin to become pale. The best is 7-8 hours of sleep for healthy skin.

Nose

Our sense of smell helps us enjoy life. We delight in the aromas of our favorite foods or the fragrance of flowers. Our sense of smell also is a warning system, alerting us to danger signals such as a gas leak, spoiled food, or a fire. Any loss in our sense of smell can have a negative effect on our quality of life. It also can be a sign of more serious health problems. Smell disorders have many causes, with some more obvious than others. Some of them are exposure to certain chemicals, such as insecticides and solvents, numerous medications, including some common antibiotics and antihistamines etc. Usage of several popular cold remedies because they could result in the loss of smell. Smoking also can interfere with our sense of smell.
