What is thermosetting plastics and its properties ?

Thermosetting plastics are the plastics which become hard in heating and that once moulded cannot be softened on heating. Thus, thermosetting plastics cannot be deformed. Examples include bakelite and melamine.
Thermosetting plastics are used in electric switches.
