X rays is Known to be a Mutagen.Does the Xray we use for Medical purpose(eg:broken bones) provide scope for mutation?

X rays can easily penetrate inside the human body cells and can cause damage there. This damage can be fatal or even can lead to cancer. This can also cause genetic defects in next generation of offspring. X rays on penetrating the cell can cause mutation in the DNA of a cell. This may result in uncontrolled growth of cells. Thus, continuous exposure does provide scope for mutation.
