A BALL HAVING MASS 0.5kg MOVING WITH A VELOCITY 20M/S IS CAUGHT BY ARUN HE STOPPED THE BALL IN 5S BY MOVING HIS HANDS BACKWARD. FIND THE INITIAL MOMENTUM FIND THE FINAL MOMENTUM

(i)Velocity of the cricket ball=20m/s
Mass of cricket ball=0.5kg
Momentum=Mass*velocity=0.5kg*20m/s=10 kg m/s
(ii)After holding the ball with the hand and move the hand back to a little and made the ball stationary in 5 s then the momentum is zero.Because when stopped the ball velocity decreases to zero.When velocity tends to 0 momentum will be also zero.
