WHY DO WE THINK A CASE MOVES FROM A LOWER COURT TO A HIGHER COURT???

A case moves from the lower court to a higher court because of the following reasons:

a.If the person feels that decision of the lower court is not satisfing , he can appeal to a higher court.
b.To give a fair trial and opportunity to a person to defend himself.
c.To protect the rights of an Individual.
