How direct and inverse proportion are applicable in our daily life?

Some examples are
1) Sale of sweaters: As the temperature goes up the number of sales goes down

i.e. Increasing temperature decreases sales: Sales ~ 1/Temperature

2) Squishing a party balloon: As you compress the balloon you decrease the volume causing the pressure inside to increase.

i.e. Decreasing volume increases pressure: Pressure ~ 1/Volume

3) Gravity: The further you move away from the Earth the weaker the pull of gravity.

i.e. Increasing distance decreases force : Force ~ 1/(Distance)^2
