Is Plateau of Tibet a continental or intermontane plateau? What is the highest plateau in Australia ?

Intermontane plateaus are the highest in the world, bordered by mountains. The Tibetan Plateau is one such plateau, called the "roof of the world", which is still being formed by the collisions of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian tectonic plates.

The Western Plateau is Australia's largest drainage division and is composed predominantly of the remains of the ancient rock shield of Gondwana.
