The difference between the present ages of a father and his son is 30years.five years ago,the son's age was one-seventh of the father's age.Find the age of each

Son's age be x
Then father's age will be x + 30

Five years ago
son's age = x - 5
father's age = x + 30 - 5
                    x  + 25
son's age is equal to 1/7 of father's age
 x - 5 = x + 25 / 7

7(x - 5) = x + 25
7x - 35 = x + 25
7x - x = 25 + 35
6x = 60
x= 10

son's age = 10 yrs
father's age = x + 30
                    = x + 30 = 40 years
