1) Why machine parts are jammed in winter? 2)A horse has to apply more force to start a cart than to keep it moving. Why? 3)A rat and a horse are to be projected from the earth into space .State whether the velocity is the same or different in projecting each animal.Explain? |
1) Due to the low temperature in winter, the coefficient of viscosity of the engine oil and the lubricant increases. The machine parts get jammed due to this reason. 2) Static friction comes into play when the horse applies force to start the motion in the cart. On the other hand, kinetic friction comes into play when the cart is moving. for the 3 rd question please mention whether any occurance of inclination for the projection? |
