how does the www affect our lives?

In March of 1989, a British Computer Scientist, by the name of Tim Berners-Lee, created an information management system, which involved communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocal (HTTP) client and server. Thus, the World Wide Web was born.

The Worldwide Web has revolutionised the way we work, travel and keep in touch since its inception 25 years ago. Originally used for basic things, such as email, the web has developed to become an integral part of the daily lives of billions of people.

Could you imagine your life without using the Web - no email, no access to breaking news, no up to the minute weather reports, no way to shop online, etc.? Probably you can't. We have grown to be dependent on this technology - it has transformed the way that we conduct out lives. Try to go one day without using the Web in some fashion-you'll probably be surprised at how much you depend on it.
