Give an example of reaction catalysed by an enzyme.

Enzyme catalyzed reaction:
In the stomach of humans, chemical digestion of proteins begins. When food enters the stomach, hydrochloric acid is released and begins to mix with the food  The presence of hydrochloric acid, with a pH=2, activates Pepsin (an enzyme) to begin digesting proteins. Pepsin digests protein (substrate) into small amino acids (product).
