Why is the progeny always tall when a tall pea plant is crossed with a short pea plant ?

When pure-bred parent plants were cross-bred, dominant traits were always seen in the progeny, whereas recessive traits were hidden until the first-generation (F1).An organisms trait are controlled by the alleles it inherit from its parents.A dominant allele is one whose trait always shows up in an organism.Scientists use punnett square to determine the  chance of inheriting a trait.
In pea plants tallness depends on production of the hormone gibberellin.
